Lower City

Long Rest as soon as you get to the Lower City to push through some companion dialog. Speak with all your companions after.

Once you get to the Lower City there is so much to do and you can mostly do it in any order. But there are few time-sensitive items that you should complete before a Long Rest, and some quests need to be done before others. Do almost all of the Sidequests before completing the Main quests.

Investigate the Murders

Go Southwest and talk to Estra Stir near the newspaper boy. Have Shadowheart offer appropriate offerings in the Stormshort Tabernacle. Go North to the Stormshore Tabernacle. Speak with Vicar Humbletones and trade with him. Leave gold or the same value in items for Anointed in Splendor (+2 to all Saving Throws). This blessing is character dependent and requires the same amount as getting a merchant to 100 attitude. Return to the same deity every day afterward for free. Go down the Ornate Wooden Hatch to the basement and you can steal your donation back from the Offering Chests but you will receive a curse (Castigated by Divinity) which will spawn a Deva or two when you are healed, remove curse, or die, Vicar Humbletoes will no longer trade with you, and you won’t be able to get your daily blessing. With/Have Astarion/Karlach/Lze’zel get a discount on a room in Elfsong Tavern. With/Have Wyll meet with Lakrissa. Go West to Elfsong Tavern. Speak with Stug Minedale, Lakrissa, Dame Guisarme, Clovia Throaks, and Doora Thumbfoot. Go into the side room and challenge Harvard Willoughby. Get a room from Alan Alyth. Speak with Chef Roveer in the Kitchen and accept his rat killing quest. Go downstairs and kill the rats. Don’t miss Keepsake Ring. Take the West door. Press the hidden button. Continue North. Fight the Githyanki, loot the room, use the hidden button behind the Northern statue. Loot the room, go West but don’t use the Hatch yet. Return to Roveer and warn him about the Murder list. Talk to Fist Aguta. Go upstairs and speak with Gauntlet Devella. Inspect the room, don’t miss the Discared Wine Bottle on the West Cupboard. With Wyll meet Alfira. Go out of the room and up the ladder to the roof. Inspect the Cracked Tile and speak with Alfira. With Minthara acquire a Soul Coin. From the Tavern go South past Baldur’s Mouth, then West and South down the stairs to Peartree House. Check the mailbox for a Soul Coin. Clear the house then go down the Hatch and clear the basement, don’t miss Clown’s Severed Foot. Go Southwest then Northwest then continue West to Beehive Goods and Wares. Just West is Rainforest’s Home. Clear the house then use the Hatch and clear the basement. Go West to the Blushing Mermaid and warn Nesha Leesha up on the Southwest patio. Read the Anti-Hag Support Group Poster on the nearby table. Just Northwest of the Blushing Mermaid is Golbraith’s Home. Go upstairs and talk to Golbraith. Use the Hatch on the ground floor to reach the Basement. Just West of Golbraith’s is The Glitter Gala. If you have a Bard go upstairs and talk to Thomas C. Quirklious about the benefits of Worg hair for a lute. With Minthara obtain a sumptuous new garment. Go North from the Glitter Gala to the Baldur’s Gate Waypoint and just East is Facemaker’s Boutique. Warn Figaro Pennygood. With Karlach survive Bhaalist ambush at the park. With Lae’zel speak with Manip Edenosa after the ambush. North of Facemaker’s Boutique is a chest then East to Bloomridge Park. Loot the herbs, hidden chests, then ambush on the far east side. Manip Edenosa has a Tadpole, but don’t get caught looting it unless you want to go to jail. With Minthara warn Cora Highberry of the poisoned wine. Return to Stormshore Tablernacle (Basilisk Gate Waypoint) and go West to the Highberry Townhouse wine festival to warn Cora Highberry. Be sure to loot the Doppelgangers for the Tombstone Shop Key. If Dolor/Meztli gets away, check your map and you may see a new target “Chase down the Serial Killer”. Go there to finish him off. Don’t delay. Return to Highberry House and speak with Cora for a reward. Go upstairs and read “Tear-stained Letter” and “My Thanks, Cora”. Go into the kitchen and take the Wine Cellar Key from the fireplace mantle. Use the Hatch to enter the Wine Cellar. Behind the Landscape painting is a Strongbox. Take the West door for some more loot. North of the Highberry House is Diabolic Forge. Trade with Dammon. With Shadowheart agree to an alliance with Orin. At some point Orin will appear to you as one of your party members, either after a Long Rest or while in the City Sewers. Without Minsc and Jaheira, Candulhallow’s Tombstones is Northeast of Elfsong Tavern. Use Tombstone Shop Key to open the door and go inside. Go Southest into the stockroom the continue Southeast to the Office. Loot the room. Take Butterfly on Skull off the wall to reveal a Button. Press the Button to move teh Bookcase. Interact with the hidden door and speak the pass phrase. Go North past the parchment and a trap to find an Elegant Chest. Go South to the door to the Tribunal Antichamber. Speak to That Which Guards and give him the bag of Hands from Dolor. Go all the way East past the three Death Knights. Speak with Sarevok. Don’t become an Unholy Assassin of Bhaal. After defeating Sarevok go back West and loot the Death Knights. Clear the area, loot the prison to the North. Go South and use the Abattoir Key to the Temple of Bhaal. With Shadowheart and Wyll free Valeria during the Murder Tribunal. Interact with Valeria’s chains to free them. Loot the Small Gilded Chest to the Northeast. Exit the Tribunal. Go back to the Basilisk Gate Barracks and talk to Guantlet Devella. Back to Lower City

Stop the Presses

With/Have Astarion/Minthara/Gale complete Stop the Presses. Just South of the Elfsong Tavern is The Baldur’s Mouth. Read “FOR THE STOUT AND STURDY” on a table outside then speak with Jarlath. Go inside Baldur’s Mouth Gazette. Go downstairs and talk to Ettvard Needle. Go North to the roof of the Elfsong Tavern and cross to the roof of Baldur’s Mouth (Fly, Misty Step, etc.) Inspect the Loose Plank. In the Southeast corner destroy the roof and take the elevator or drop down to the Western landing. Find a way to get to the basement (invisibility). Sneak past the Steel Watcher and go into the North room. Break the barricade and enter the West room with the printing press. In a Wicker Basket get “Make Big Money by Trading with Adventurers.” Sneak South past the Steel Watcher using the West room. Once in the printer room talk to the printer and swap stories. Sneak out of the building. Just East of The Baldur’s Mouth is Nortale’s Hostel. At the top of the stairs in a Rustic Chest is a Soul Coin. After a Long Rest get a copy of the Baldur’s Mouth to check its stories (News Hawker Luan just South of Basilisk Gate Waypoint). Back to Lower City

Find the Nightsong

Southwest of Baldur’s Mouth is Sorcerous Sundries. Speak with Aradin outside and let him know the truth about the Nightsong. Go inside and talk to Rolan about the Nightsong. Talk to Tolna Tome-Monger about the Annals of Karsus. Read “The Path to Elminster” behind her desk. With Gale sneak into the Northern door (invisibility) and get the basement chest key and read “Officious Note”. Interact with the Clasped Book on the bookshelf. Go through the portal. Clear the room then take the South door. To the West is a hidden room behind an illusion. Clear the room. Continue South, clear the traps and use the South door. Destroy the South door (Illusion) then loot the discovered room. Go though the West door (Abjuration) then use the lever next to the North door (Silver) and take the door then use the lever to unlock Karsus Vault. Take any door to be teleported back, take the South (Silverhand) door again, take the Evocation door, again use the lever to disable the traps and take the Wish door. Go to the Karsus Vault. Clear the room and go back. Have Gale read “The Annals of Karsus”. Speak with Gale. Go to Elminster Vault. Take the Tharchiate Codex and have whomever has read the Necromancy of Thay read it. Cast Remove Curse or Greater Restoration on that character and have them read the Necromacy of Thay again. Go back to the main room with the Portal and press the hidden button on the North wall. Clear the discovered room. Just South of the room is a hidden room to the East. Interact with the Peculiar Lamp, loot everything, then cast a summons to leave the summoned creature behind in the lamp. Go back to the portal and sneak out of the room so you don’t get caught. Go upstairs and interact with the plaques. Choose the correct one and talk to Lorroakan. Return through the portal. Exit the building and speak with Elminster. Go to Stormshore Tabernacle and have Gale interact with Mystra. Talk to Gale. Go to Camp and tell Dame Aylin about Lorroakan. Offer to fight him with her. With/Have Wyll/Gale defeat Lorroakan. Return to Sorcerous Sundries and re-enter the Portal. Fight Lorroakan. Talk to Rolan and Dame Aylin. Loot the area then jump down to the next floor. Clear this floor then press the Weave button for “Below”. Pull the invisible levers with Arcana checks to open the Globes of Invulnerability. Use the “Above” Weave button. Jump back upstairs and leave. Back to Lower City

Investigate the Suspicous Toys

With/Have Astarion gain access to Avery’s workshop. Just South of Sorcerous Sundries is Felogyr’s Fireworks. Go inside and talk to Avery Sonshal and give him the password you got from Arfur. Go through the Reinforced Metal Door and upstairs. Talk to Clerk Tamara. Grab Avery’s Storage Key behind the counter. Sneak past the guard upstairs (invisibility). Any fight in the building will bring them all running. Clear the place, don’t miss the lever behind crates in the basement and Counting House Vault no.5 key. Back to Lower City

Help the Hag Survivors

Just Northeast of the Heapside Strand Waypoint is Barren’s Coop. Read the mail. Go inside, read the Barely-Legible Letter on the table and How to Kill a Hag on the floor. Go to Old Garlow’s Place, south of Beehive General Goods. Once inside Persaude them you aren’t an agent of Auntie. Speak with everyone then go upstairs and read the Hoof-Trodden Diary. Speak (with Animals) to Mayrina. Use Remove Curse on the Voodoo Doll. Jatlo will confess so kill him and loot Auntie’s Lair Key. Talk to Mayrina. Open the Safe, read the books, take the Ashes of Dried Fey Flower and combine with any Essence to make Hag’s Bane. Back to Lower City

Avenge the Hag Survivors

Just East of the Stormshore Tabernacle (Basilisk Gate Waypoint) is the Flaming Fist Barracks . Speak to Lora inside. From the Baldur’s Gate Waypoint go Southeast to the Blushing Mermaid. Go upstairs and talk to Captain Grisly about Vanra. Keep pushing about the child, and reject the offer to kill Lora. After dispatching the Redcaps go back to Ethel’s room and take the stairs down to the Cellar. Jump on the wine barrels and head South to find an illusionary wall to the East. Go through the wall and down the stairs. Loot the Wooden Chest and lockpick the Double Doors. Go through the doors and turn East, go through the Wooden Wall door to the North to avoid killing Autie’s victims. With/Have Lae’zel kill Auntie a second time. Throw Hag’s Bane at Auntie before she dies or Vanra will die too, unless you use non-lethal force on Auntie and cut Vanra out. Destroy the Pearlspore Bells to kill Auntie. With/Have Gale discover the real Captain Grisly. Speak with Vanra and Captain Grisly. Loot the area. Don’t miss jumping on the mushrooms on the East wall to a Heavy Chest and Tadpole. With/Have Shadowheart rescue Vanra. Lora and Vanra’s house is East of the Blushing Mermaid. Go speak to them. Return South to Old Garlow’s place and tell Mayrina the news. Back to Lower City

Free the Artist

With Shadowheart guide Nina to acceptance or prowess. North of Dammon’s forge is the Graveyard. Speak with Nina and Persuade her to accept her loss. With Karlach interact with the Tombstones in front of Gorion Mausoleum. With Shadowheart interact with the Tombstone far East with Happy Birthday note in front of it. Talk to Shadowheart. Place a Night Orchid on the grave. With Astarion retrieve the grave’s gold from Bugthimble. Dig up Bugthimble South of Gorion Mausoleum. Fight him for Kurwin’s Cauteriser. By Pookums is a grave with a metal pipe. Click on the pipe. Dig up Gothric Rillyn. With Wyll convince Ulkov Sully to make a coffin for the child. To the East talk to Anita Fischer. Go North then around back to talk to Ulkov and Persuade or Intimidate him. Return to Anita Fischer and inform her. On the East side enter the Mortuary Cellar through the Hatch and grab the Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Lungs. The only thing worthwhile is an Elixer of Cloud Giant Strength but taking anything in the room starts combat with Houndmaster Pol and his hounds. Beware of traps. Step on a pressure plate with enough weight to open a hidden door. There’s also a crumbling wall to the West which opens to Gorion Mausoleum. Disarm the three traps. Keys in the Sarcophagus. Go to Lady Jannath’s Estate Southwest of the Baldur’s Gate Waypoint. Talk to Tarhun Mnemonis. Read the mail then head inside. Head upstairs, through two sets of double doors to the bedroom for a cut scene. Take Oskar out with non-lethal melee damage. Lady Jannath leads you to the atelier. Use Remove Curse to dispel the Cursed Skulls. Reveal the hidden door by placing Oskar’s Painting on the empty easel. Open the door, read the letter in the chest. Kill all the Poltergeist and Cursed Skulls. Return to Lady Jannath and tell her about the letter and she’ll direct you to Mystic Carrion’s house by the water. Philgrave’s Mansion is just South of Felogy’s Fireworks. On the West side of the building is a secret door you can use the password on. Mystic Carrion wants you to Find Mystic Carrion’s Servant or you can just pay him 3000gp. With Astarion enter combat against Mystic Carrion after being sent to find Thrumbo. After you’ve found his servant and recovered/destroyed his Jars of organs, return to Mystic Carrion in Philgrave’s Mansion (Heapside Strand Waypoint). Loot the Gilded Chest behind him for the Acquisitions Record and Torch of Revocation. Clear the house, don’t miss the Soul Coin in the Viscera. Go back to Lady Jannath’s Estate (Baldur’s Gate Waypoint). With Shadowheart and Gale burn Kerri’s portrait with the Torch of Revocation. Equip the Torch of Revocation, swing it at the Painting of a Smiling Maiden. Go down to the bedroom and talk to Oskar. Persuade Kerri to leave in peace. With Wyll obtain your portrait from Oskar. Follow Oskar to his atalier and allow him to paint you. Back to Lower City

Find Mystic Carrion’s Servant

Thrumbo is hiding just East of Philgrave’s Mansion. Go down to the docks for a Sahuagin ambush. Go North to Vonayn’s Home. Open the Wardrobe and talk to Thrumbo about Mystic Carrion. Thrumbo wants you to End Mystic Carrion’s Immortality. Go out on the balcony and down the Hatch. Clear the basement getting the Counting House No.6 key from the Backpack. Back to Lower City

End Mystic Carrion’s Immortality

On the East side of Philgrave’s Mansion is a hole you can use to sneak into the basement. Clear the room, read “A Mummy’s Memories”. Return to the Undercity Ruins Waypoint and go West through a Passageway. Once you take something from the Ancient Lair a horde of undead spawn and you are afflicted with Spell Rot (BUG: do not Fast Travel out or it will stick). Go through the Hidden Door in the North wall to find Mystic Carrion’s Workshop. Read “Funerary Jar Form and Function”. Grab the Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Brain from the table and Jar of Mystic Carrion’s Liver from the Gilded Chest. Shoot the jars, including the Lungs, from a distance as they explode. Go up the ladder and pull the lever. Go back to Thrumbo (Heapside Strand Waypoint) and tell him about the Heart. After he pukes up the Heart destroy it also. Return to Free the Artist. Back to Lower City

Aid the Underduke

North of Sorcerous Sundries is Bonecloak’s Apothecary. Go inside and Trade with Derryth. If you need more alchemical items check her back room. Noblestalk won’t help Shadowheart anymore but will heal and cure ailments. Use the Hatch to go to her Basement. Heavy Chest contains Counting House Save no.3 Key. Use the lever to open a secret door to her workshop. Clear the area but beware of the Bibberbang. In front of Bonecloak’s trade with Mohan. With Astarion, Minthara, and Karlach access the Guildhall through Tusgront. With Jaheira and the Zhentarim Cache from Act 1 go back to Peartree’s House then go Southeast and talk to Tusgront to be let in to see Nine-Fingers. Give the cache to Slick Inatra. Talk to Mol. Talk to Nine-Fingers Keene. Read “From the desk of Rakath Glitterbeard, Head Banker” to the left of her bed. Read “File under Diabolist” on Keene’s desk. Exit the Guildhall, go upstairs past Don’t-Call-Me-Runt and get the Counting House Save no.8 key from the mailbox. With Jaheira, Astarion, and 5000gp return to Alexander Rainforest’s house then go South to the Counting House. Talk to Banker Meadhoney. Show the Captain the vault pass and head down into the vaults. Open the Vault Door and loot all the vaults. Have characters stand on 1 3 5 and 6 in order to open the High Security vault door. Continue down for an ambush. Talk to Rakath Glitterbeard, Persuade him down to 5000gp and pay him. Loot the High Security Vaults. Exit the Counting House and go West to Flymm Cargo. Don’t go down to the Basement yet. Go out the back door and use the docks to cross to the Counting House docks. Loot the ships without being caught. Go to Elfsong Tavern, down into the Basement, through the Wine Cask (may show closed but walk through), North through the Knights of the Shield hideout and use the Hatch in the West room to enter the Lower City Sewers. Loot the Wooden Chest, go West, shoot the lever on the South wall. Loot the Rustic Chest. Go through West door, hit South lever. Take out the Bhaal cultists. Go through West door. Go through West door then Southwest around the corner to find the City Sewers Waypoint. Go all the way West to find Arabella. Talk to her. Go back East to the broken wall then North. Loot the Traveller’s Chest. Go East then North then West and fight Aelis Siryasius. Go back East through a door and talk to Kith’rak Voss. Take the boat North. Speak with Lorna Esthelian and observe all the missing children posters. Go back South to Kith’rak Voss then West and North until you reach some Greaseballs. Go North and find a Painted Chest, two Loose Stones and a Torn Journal Fragment. Continue North for two more Loose Stones. Continue North until you find the Undercity Ruins Waypoint. Trade with Voiceless Penitent Bareki. While talking with him, have a different character loot the Pouch behind him for Sarin’s Skull. Take Sarin’s Skull to her coffin where you fought Aelis and interact with her skeleton to replace the skull. Return to the Undercity Ruins Waypoint and go South to where you met the Greaseballs then go West to find a dead Kobold thief. Dig up the dirt mounds to find trapped chests. Open only Marked Chest: Dragon. With Jaheira climb on the large pipe and head North then West until you meet the Stone Lord’s crew. Use the southern valves to balance the levels so you can open the Sluice Gate (or Athletics check) to the West. Go through the Sluice Gate and use non-lethal damage on Minsc. Follow Minsc North and speak to him. Go back and read the notes on the doppelgangers’ bodies. Loot the room. With Astarion and Minthara side with Nine-Fingers against the Zhentarim Without Minsc return to the Guildhall (Heapside Strand Waypoint), position your characters where you want them for the battle then talk to Roah Moonglow. Loot Slick Inatra. Talk to Nine-Fingers Keene. The Guild Safe is behind a locked Bookshelf door in Keene’s bedroom. Back to Lower City

Investigate the House of Grief

North of Lady Jannath’s Estate is Arves staring at a squirrel in a tree. Speak to him. With Shadowheart complete the Mapping of the Heart. With Lae’zel and Shadowheart go West to the House of Grief. Around the side are some herbs and “The Surpising Habits of Kara-Turian Warlords”. Go inside and speak with Mirie. Follow her into the side room and sit on the bench. With Lae’zel survive the confrontation in the Sharran Cloister. Enter the Exposed Secret Stairway. Go South through the door to the Cloister of Sombre Embrace. Continue through the Stone Door. Approach Viconia. Go through the North door and speak and trade with Nocturne. Go through the Southeast door to the Armoury. Loot the room then destroy the Barricade to the Southwest. Go West to the Threshold of Loss. Have Shadowheart speak to her parents, ask what they want. Let her choose, then speak to Shadowheart. To the West perform an Arcana or Religion check on the Mirror of Loss (unless already performed on the one in Guantlet of Shar). Shadowheart who has turned from Shar cannot use the Mirror. Each character must succeed a Relgion check (wear Warped Headband of Intellect, Mage’s Friend ring) then offer a memory and they may receive a boon. The Stolen Vigour Curse lasts until Long Rest or Remove Curse. Return to the Interrogation and Infiltration Training rooms and loot them. Back to Lower City

Avenge the Drowned

South of Lady Jannath’s Estate is a park. Go through the door to the North. Have a character stand by the North and South walls to open a hidden door. Leave and go all the way South toward the Water Queen’s House. With Astarion save Volo from the angry mob out front of the foundry. Stand up to the mob and be sure to rescue Volo before looting. Don’t miss the Tadpole. With Shadowheart make an offering for the dead waveservant. Continue South and speak to Diomira Trellis. Go inside and speak to Flood Tide Allandra Grey. Offer your weapon. Go South out the back way and down to the beach. Go West and enter a Passageway to the Water Queen’s Cellar. There is small treasure and if you aggro the npcs here, the ones in the House will be aggro’s as well. Go North to the Grey Harbour (Grey Harbour Docks Waypoint) and speak with fisherman Gowlan. Talk to Dharin Brislen then Captain Sleam and Persuade her. Talk to Dharin Brislen again. Go to Flymm’s Cargo into the Basement then into the Detention Block. Clear the area, don’t miss the Ladder to the West. Go South through into Machine Parts Storage. Continue through to the Subaquatic Dock. With Karlach enter the Iron Throne. With Wyll rescue all 13 Gondians. Go all the way East and read Redhammer’s Journal. Speak to Redhammer the Deviser. Interact with the Submersible Hatch. Make sure to have Sanctuary, Arcane Gate, and Dimension Door memorized (and/or Scrolls). Buff with Longstrider and Aid. Summon Us, Shovel, and Planar Ally. Don’t use Haste/Haste Spores/Potion of Speed until the third round to avoid Lethargy. Use a Fly potion on everyone except those who’ve used the Astral Tadpole, Group up, then interact with the Metal Hatch. Ungroup. Send Shadowheart East, Dash and Fly to the Jail Cell. Send Tav South to save the person in the cell and on the table. Send Lae’zel and Gale flying West and kill the monsters. Shadowheart: Open Jail cells, cast Sanctuary on Ravenguard. Use Sunbeam to kill the spiders Mizora summons. Water the floor to prevent burning. Tav: Misty Step to Omeluum and free him. Get the Tadpole. Omeluum teleport you both to the Submersible then go back down into the prison. Gale fly/dash/misty step to open the jail cells while Lae’zel kills monsters. Shadowheart: Run with Duke Ravenguard back to the submersible or Dimension Door (scroll). Tav: Open the central prison doors. Gale Dimension Door self and Lae’zel to central area. Gale Arcane Gate West door to central room. Lae’zel run toward Duke Ravenguard. Talk to Duke Ravenguard and Omeluum. Talk to the other prisoners if you want. Talk to Flood Tide Allandra Grey and receive your reward. Back to Lower City

Rescue the Grand Duke

Return to Camp and speak with Duke Ravenguard. Use the parasite to show him the truth. Back to Lower City

Retrieve Omeluum

Go to Baldur’s Gate Waypoint then South and immediately West to a Berry Bush. Loot the area and talk to Shadowheart about some Graffiti. With Karlach convince Jaheira to let her family stay in the city. With Jaheria go just South to Elarrathin Residence. If you don’t have a Harp-Shaped Pin, you can get one on the roof in an Old Pouch or from Tate upstairs just by talking to him. Use the pin in the pin-shaped hole in the side of her desk. Go down into Jaheira’s Hidden Sanctuary. Speak (with Animals) to the Postmaster Badger and the Messenger Rats. In her desk read “My Dearest Wife”. Disable the trap on the Loose Floorboards and grab the Key. Use the key on the Bookcase. On the table read “Rite of the Timeless Body” then speak to Jaheira about it. Get Belm in the Opulent Chest for Jaheira’s off-hand. Get Khalid’s Gift from the Display Case. With Gale request membership to the Society of Brilliance. Leave Jaheria’s and go South to the Lodge of the Society of Brilliance. Read the mail (but don’t take it). Talk with the Society members downstairs and you can sell the Githyanki Egg again at this time if you wish. Go upstairs and talk to Omeluum for your reward. Interact with A Magical Journey painting. Back to Lower City

Avenge the Ironhands

Go back to the Steel Watch Foundry. Enter via a Vent in the Northwest corner of the building or through the front door. Go through the Double Iron Doors to see the Gondians are being forced to work by the Bane Cultists. Go North up the stairs then West to the Security Office. Speak with Zanner Toobin. Grab the Steel Watcher Helmet, Steel Watcher Arm, and Targeting Module from the main floor. In the Security Office grab the Watcher Crossbow Blueprint. Combine the arm, module, and blueprint at the Northern Table. Go down the stairs into the Lab and help the Gondians. Get the Tadpole in the Northeast then go to the Control Center through the North doors. With Karlach blow up the Steel Watch Foundry. With Gale and Lae’zel use Wulbren’s runepowder bomb. Defeat the final Steel Watchers, loot Gontr Mael from the Titan, then interract with the Neural Switchboard to place the Runepowder Bomb. Side with Barcus against Wulbren then speak to Zanner Toobin. Go East to the boat that was being guarded by two Steel Watchers and find 7 Tadpoles. Back to Lower City

Rescue Orin’s Victim

NOTE: This quest is not time-sensitive as long as you don’t enter the Throne of Bhaal. Return to the Undercity Ruins Waypoint and either attack the skull in front of the door with a ranged attack or interact with the East door. Tell it you have the Amulet and murdered the Tribunal. Loot Justen and read the Parchment beside his body. Go slightly North and jump up to the West twice to find a trapped Wooden Chest. Jump back down. Continue North to an Ambush. Be sure to loot Strangler Luke before the battle ends. Kill Farslayer of Bhaal Ghislev to end the trial, all corpses and combatants dissappear. Go through the West door and get the Silver Key. Go West then South and loot the Wooden Chest. Loot the area then go East and North. Go through the Metal Door to the East. Go all the way North. Have Shadowheart drink alcohol and cast Spirit Guardians for Punch Drunk achievement. Return South until you can go East. Continue and turn North. Beware of Traps when you find a a collection of corpses. Loot Clown’s Severed Head from Wilting Alex. Go East, up the ladder then Northeast for a Wooden Chest. Return to the corpses then South and East for two Wooden Chests. Go West and up a ladder for a Potion of Superior Healing. Go South to the Temple of Bhaal Waypoint. Go East then turn South before the Traps. Loot Heavy Chest, go West and up the first ladder and a second ladder to loot another Heavy Chest. Return to the trapped bridge. With Shadowheart and Karlach discover the Temple of Bhaal. Cross the bridge East and use the Bhaal Amulet to open the Stone Door. Go Northeast and all the way East then South to speak (with the Dead) to Helena and ask her why she tried to kill her Daughter. With Lae’zel execute Orin. Talk to Orin, tell her Sarevok had her mother try to kill her. Regardless of the second choice, she becomes the slayer. Bhaal gives Orin Unstoppable every round unless you kill the Reapers. Use AOE spells to bypass Sanctuary. Free the prisoner and talk to them. Loot the area, don’t miss the Gilded Chest to the far South. Leave the Temple of Bhaal. Back to Lower City

Find Dribbles the Clown

Go Northeast behind Stormshore Tabernacle and read the mail. Inside observe the bloody footprints. Loot Dribble’s pelvis. Southeast of the Lower City Central Wall Waypoint is Stormshore Armoury. Trade with Fytz and Gloomy. West of the Lower City Central Wall Waypoint is Lavernica’s Home. Go inside and get the Key to the Hatch in the cupboard. Go down the Hatch. Loot Clown’s Severed Leg from Incontinentia Figgin. With Gale find out how Araj’s blood experiements are going. With Lae’zel give Araj blood a second time. Just South of Lavernica’s is Crimson Draughts. Read the mail then go inside and talk with Araj Oblodra. In her basement is a Tadpole and herbalism ingredients. With Shadowheart and Karlach return all the pieces of Dribbles to Lucretious. Return to Ringmaster Lucretious with the body parts. Back to Lower City

Investigate Cazador’s Palace

From the Lower City Central Wall Waypoint go around to the Southeast side of the Central Watch Tower and go up. With Astarion go North to the Szarr Palace South Tower. Deceive the guards to get the key. You can cast Calm Emotions on the guards to free them from Charm. Speak (with Animals) to the Giant Rats. Continue up and loot the Wooden chest before you go inside. Go inside the Tower, grab the Key on the table and go up and in the Szarr Palace Raparts. Go inside Szarr Palace. Talk to Vilhelm and he’ll tell you Godey has the Key you need to get in the ballroom. Go East to the Chamberlain’s Suite and continue East to the Chamberlin’s Office. Read “The Ballroom Door” in the Wooden Desk. Grab the Mysterious Elixir from the desk. Go North through the illusory wall. Read “My Darling Dufay” on the dead werewolf. Leave the office and go North to the Chamberlain’s Private quarters. Read Dufay’s Diary under the bed. Leave the Chamberlain’s Suite and head South down the stairs. Talk to Syrin then go East into the Kennels. Loot the Szarr Family Ring from Godey. Go North into the Dormitory Wing and clear the area. Go back to Syrin and South into the Guest Room. Cast Remove Curse on Victoria’s body. Ready Dalyria’s Journal in the desk. Read the Kozakuran Dictionary from the Mahogany Wardrobe. Get the Helmet of Grit from the Opulent Chest. Go back upstairs, prepare for battle then open the Ballroom door. Go up the Ladder in the Northweast tower to the attic. Clear the area, don’t miss the treasure and Key to Cazador’s Dungeon in the Northwest tower. The Button to the South half of the Attic is hidden behind a Wooden Crate. Back down to the Ballroom leave one character behind in the Northeast tower to press the button opening the Northwest tower. Press the button in the Northwest tower to bring your party together. There’s a Hatch under the Opulent Chest that leads down to some puzzles, traps, and an Opulent Chest. Go back to the Ballroom. Go through the Southwest door to the Office Hall. Go South to the Office then back North and West to take the elevator to the Dungeon. Go East through the Crypt gate. Go North then East again. Fly down to the next level and go back West to find Pelorsun Blade in a hidden coffin. Continue West for herbalism ingredients and an exit to the Sewers. Go West and use the Szarr Family Ring to open the door. Read Meditations of a Vampire Lord on the bed. Interact with the skull of Vellioth. Return to the main hall and go North using the Ring again. With Wyll rescue the vampire spawn. With Lae’zel defeat the Ascended Cazador. Speak with Sebastian and the Gur children then go North to fight Cazador. Daylight is the best starting spell. Persuade Astarion to stand down or let him ascend. Return to the elevator and speak with Ulma. Back to Lower City

Deal with the Devil

NOTE: Instead of accepting Rafael’s deal for the Orphic Hammer you can steal it instead of your Contract. (see Escape the Deal) Go to Sharess’ Caress, upstairs to the Devil’s Den and speak to Rafael. Accept his deal of the Crown of Karsus for the Orphic Hammer. Back to Lower City

Help Kith’rak Voss

Go back to the Sewers (City Sewers Waypoint) and go North. You’ll find Gandrel and his children. Tell them to feed on animals. Continue North back to Kith’rak Voss. Speak with Qudenos then tell Kith’rak you have the hammer. Back to Lower City

Escape the Deal

The Devil’s Fee is just North of Bonecloak’s Apothecary (Lower City Central Wall Waypoint). Go inside and speak to Helsik about what she did for Lord Gortash. Basement?? Ask Helsik to get you into the House of Hope. You can Intimidate her for half her fee or Persuade her for the Guantlets of Hill Giant Strength. With Gale obtain access to the House of Hope portal. With Karlach use the House of Hope portal. Go upstairs and into her bedroom. Clear the area. Back to the ritual circle. Place the items Helsik gave you according to the instructions in the Grimoire. Go to Avernus. Go North to the door and talk to Hope. Offer to free her. Continue North to the Feast Hall then West to speak to Hope again. Go through the West door and you can Disarm the Traps then steal the Guantlets and Amulet of Greater Health. Go around to the North then face South to interact with an Inert Infernal Gem. Get Mol’s Contract, Staff, and Helmet. Go to the Northeast balcony then jump Northwest to Rafael’s Boudoir. Kill Haarlep, loot chests, use Restoration Faucets. Go back to the Archive, interract with the contract, rip it in two. Fight your way back to the Boudoir then jump from the balcony East to a passageway into the prisons. With Wyll free Hope from captivity. Fight two Spectators then use the Orphic Hammer to free Hope. Leave the prison the way you came in and refill in the Boudoir. Clear all the way to the Foyer door, then go back to the Boudoir. Summon help, restore, then go to the Foyer. Persuade Yurgir to fight on your side. With Lae’zel escape the House of Hope. Loot Rafael and the rest of the corpses. Talk to Yurgir. Leave Hell. Give the gauntlets to Helsik and Pickpocket them back, or Deceive and Intimidate her to keep them. With Minthara after killing Rafael convince Mol to aid you in the final battle. With Minthara go to the Guildhall and give Mol her contract. Don’t tell her you killed Rafael. Persuade her to join you in the upcoming battle. Back to Lower City

Get Gortash’s Netherstone

Convince Karlach to use the Astral Tadpole. Make sure you’ve done everything you want to do in the Lower City. Returning after defeating Gortash puts you in a fight with Mind Flayers. South of Stormshore Armoury (Lower City Central Wall Waypoint) is Flymm’s Cobblers, home of Gortash’s parents. Speak to Sally and read her mind. Go to Basilisk Gate Waypoint then go East to Return to Wrym’s Crossing if you want to fight Flaming Fists. Otherwise go to South Span Wyrm’s Crossing Waypoint and head North toward Wyrm’s Fortress. Use Feather Fall potion on the party and jump down. Go East around the side of the Fortress then up the ladder. Up the Knotted Roots then through the Double Doors to fight Banites. With Lae’zel and Karlach execute Gortash. Go through the Northwest passageway. If you didn’t disable the traps on the roof earlier, take care of them now. Go through the doors and talk to Gortash. Loot Gortash’s body. If you didn’t bring Karlach, go get her from Camp and have her interract with Gortash. Back to Lower City

Confront the Elder Brain

Go back to Camp and talk to Karlach. Prepare your team for the final battle. With Karlach return to the Morphic Pool Dock Waypoint. Board the Skiff, this is the point of no return. Follow the path, intellect devourer ambush, keep going, follow the Emperor then talk to him. Ask him if you could use the stones as an Illithid. Speak with Gale and Karlach. Free Orpheus, offer to become an illithid and Karlach will step up. Allow her to change. Talk to Karlach. Go through the Portal to High Hall. Talk with your allies then head East. Call your allies as you need them. Go all the way North and jump or fly down to the Sewers entrance to fight Goblins, Absolutists, and a Death Knight, then come up behind the courtyard battle. Continue East and you’ll have to combat more creatures and avoid targetting by a Nautiloid. Have any single charcter reach the far Double Iron Doors. Go through the doors to the Brain Stem. Use the Restoration Pod (not available in Tactician difficulty). Climb the Brain Stem. Gale may offer himself, so decide if you want him to end it or not. Fight a Dragon, some illithid, and others depending on your previous choices as your illithid approaches the Crown then uses Karsus’ Compulsion on it. Once the portal is open go inside and destroy the brain. Back to Lower City
